Portugal supports the expansion of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure through several incentive programs:
Subsidies for charging equipment: The government covers up to 80% of the cost of purchasing EV chargers, with a limit of €800 per unit. This aid is available to condominiums and organizations to encourage broader adoption.
Support for electrical installation: Financial assistance is also available for the necessary electrical work, offering up to €1,000 per parking space, as long as the charging stations are connected to the national Mobi.E network.
