The Protocol between the People's Republic of China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations on the Revision of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement entered into force in October 2019.
It notably provides for the elimination of tariffs for:
Monocrystalline silicon rods,
Rare earth metal ores and other metals,
Motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons.
Rules of origin apply. Goods are counted as originating from each country if
wholly produced or obtained in the country
having a regional value content (RVC) over a specific requirement
meeting specific standards as defined in the Agreement which mainly cover changes in HS codes
