In the framework of the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility, Latvia submitted its national Recovery and Resilience Plan to the European Commission.

The component 1.1 of the Latvian Recovery and Resilience Plan tackles the transport sector and includes three investments:

1.1.1 Competitive railway passenger transport in the common public transport system of the city of Riga (EUR 147.1 million)

1.1.2 Environmentally friendly improvements in the public transport system of the city of Riga (EUR 113.9 million)

1.1.3 Improved bicycle infrastructure(EUR 34.5 million)
