Axis 3 of the Belgian National Plan for Recovery and Resilience targets mobility challenges. Component 3.2 encompasses measures supporting modal shift in the transport sector,
Measures include investments in public buses, trams, metros, rail, canals and smart traffic lights, notably to finance:
a high level bus service
tram network extension
metro network extension
making railroad train stations accessible
bossting the efficiency of railroad network
subsidies for modal transfer
A public budget of 717 million EUR is allocated to these measures.
