The Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program is being adjusted so that provinces and territories can use federal funding to act quickly on a wider range of more pandemic-resilient infrastructure projects.
A new temporary COVID-19 Resilience stream, with CAD 3.3 billion available in existing funding, has been created to provide provinces and territories with added flexibility to fund quick-start, short-term projects that might not otherwise be eligible. The new stream includes a simplified and accelerated application process to ensure that communities can start work on their projects as soon as possible.
