The Resolution includes technical parameters for unconventional exploration and production.
It notes that the Ministry of Mines and Energy derives authority from Decreto 381/2012, which directed the Ministry to expedite regulations for oil and gas, and Ley 1530 and Decreto 3004, which established criteria for developing unconventional.
Operators require permission for unconventional well drilling (Art 6).
Article 10 (para. 2) states that test wells can be use for production but must meet requirements of the waste resolution from 2009 (Resolution 181495).
The Ministry of Energy and Mines can perform inspections of production and injection wells (Art 17).
