IS 1534 (Part 1): 1977 for electromagnetic ballasts and IS 13021(Part 1 & 2): 1991 for electronic ballasts + a range of IS and IEC standards.

Balast Efficiency Class:

1 star: =B1 and

2 star: =A3 and

3 star: =A2 and

4 star: =A2 BAT and

5 star: = A1
