The Argentina Efficient Award was designed as a recognition of the companies and organisations present on the Argentinian territory that implemented and certified an Energy Management System in their processes. The framework in which this initiative took place is the Energy Management Leadership Awards program convened by the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), which aims to recognize organizations that contribute to building a global vision on the benefits of improving energy performance in your facilities.
The first edition of this award was launched through an open call between the months of October 2017 and February 2018, through which all public and private organizations of the industrial, commercial and services sector, having obtained an ISO 50,0001 certification, were invited to participate. They had to submit their applications to the CEM, who performed the analysis and evaluation of them.
In the first edition, of all the applications of Argentina, the NEWSAN GROUP was the one that obtained the highest score from the CEM and consequently has been the winner of the national instance.
