NEA and Poverty Alleviation Office of the State Council decided to implement a poverty alleviation programme through installation of solar PV panels in the poor households in order to increase incomes of those households. The programme will run for a period of six years starting from 2014/2015. The programme should be adjusted to the local conditions. The PV panels should be placed barren hill slops, greenhouses and agricultural facilities in poverty areas.
