The Vision Burundi 2025 describes actions and goals that the government will take in order to assure sustainable development of Burundi until 2025. In the respect of energy sector, the goal is to reduce wood burning for heating and cooking in households. Promotion and deployment of renewable technologies will provide population with better quality of energy, minimize health hazards and reduce deforestation process. Micro and mini renewable plants are particularly in a focus of the Vision 2025.
