The certification scheme for NRE facilities was designed to guarantee the quality of domestically manufactured facilities, to build consumer confidence and promote the commercialization of technologies by providing reliable performance evaluation and standardization. The certification is currently applied to 26 items in 7 fields - solar PV, solar thermal, wind power, geothermal, bio energy, fuel cell and others. In 2014, a total 1,265

models were certified.
