The climate ministers of Netherlands and Denmark signed, in June 2020, an agreement (MoU) on the development of large-scale Power-to-X plants. The Netherlands planned to invest DKK 1 billion in 100 MW Danish plants producing synthetic fuels from renewable electricity. The cooperation combines Denmark wind resources with Dutch experience in hydrogen production, and it will also help the Netherlands meet their renewable energy targets.
