A 15-year CfD scheme supports domestic and imported hydrogen, requiring at least 10 years of operation post-subsidy. Amendments to the JOGMEC Act (effective 2025) enable support for both supply and demand, including hub development.

Eligibility requires supply to hard-to-abate sectors (e.g. industry, transport); power sector-only proposals are ineligible. Projects must start before 2030.

Evaluation: Begins Jan 31, 2025

Reference price: Based on conventional or fossil hydrogen prices

Minimum size: 1 ktpa

May 2025: 27 bids received; results to be announced through April 2026
