In March 2022, Romanian Ministry of Energy launched a state aid scheme for the financing of new capacity additions of wind and solar energy both for own consumption and sale. The scheme aims to support the installation of 950 MW of new capacity by 2024. Eligible beneficiaries are companies registered in Romania, which can draw up to EUR 1.3 million per MW of wind capacity and up to EUR 750,000 per MW of solar capacity.
