China released the Stage IV emissions standards for two and three-wheeled motorcycles and mopeds in 2016, entering into effect from July 2018. The standards set emission limits and measurement methods for air and climate pollutants, including carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOX), particulate matter (PM). It also sets emission crankcase requirements, durability requirements for pollution control devices, and technical specifications of the OBD system.
