The Mines Regulations of 2014 establish mine-specific health and safety regulations that are centred around major hazards within the underground mining sector. The regulations were amended post-Brexit by the Carcinogens and Mutagens (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2020, which adjust the occupational exposure limit values for certain hazardous substances that may be found in the workplace.
