The Irish government has launched the National Retrofitting Scheme (as part of the National Development Plan which has a budget of EUR 8billion) that notably includes :

- improved grant access and supports for home upgrades

- Warmer Homes Scheme with a dedicated EUR 109million budget (free energy upgrade for most at energy poverty risk homeowners)

- grants for cavity and attic wall insulation (up to 80% of the typical cost)

- Community Energy Grant Scheme with a dedicated EUR 43 million budget in 2022 (grants available for public, commercial, and community buildings)
