The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation's Critical Energy Minerals Roadmap is a strategy that aims to unlock the economic potential of Australia's energy minerals by creating and demonstrating breakthrough technologies.
The roadmap identifies ways to take advantage of Australia's potential and connect mining, manufacturing and energy sectors. Specifically, the roadmap suggests the adoption of more streamlined policy and regulatory frameworks together with new technical and economic regulations designed to facilitate the extraction and processing of energy minerals as well as to encourage the deployment of relevant technologies, such as the recycling of permanent magnets.
