The decree establishes and demarks the role of the National Council for Climate Change. The council tasks are to:
Prepare the national policies related to climate change
Increase scientific knowledge and awareness about climate change
Couple climate change and Sustainable development awareness
Follow international agreements related to climate change
Align policies and strategies with climate change goals
