The National Roadmap for Hydrogen aims to support innovation and the deployment of hydrogen in France. It sets objectives for the development of hydrogen in the energy transition.

Specific objectives within the transport sector include the following:

5 000 passenger fuel cell electric vehicles on the road by 2030, growing to 20 000-50 000 in 2028

200 heavy-duty fuel cell electric vehicles on the road by 2023, and between 2 000 and 8 000 in 2028
