The Net Zero Accelerator (NZA) initiative supports large-scale decarbonisation projects in key industrial sectors, so as to reduce national GHG emissions and ensure Canadian industries remain competitive.The NZA has three investment pillars, respectively aimed at decarbonising large industrial emitters, boosting industrial transformation by developing new industrial activities and processes, and promoting the development of the development of domestic clean technology manufacturing (hydrogen, CCUS and batteries). The program accepts proposals on a non-competitive basis. When a proposal for a funded program advances to the full application stage, there will be a due diligence review to validate the GHG reduction estimates.
