In line with the Act of 6 December 2006 on the principles of the development policy, the National Urban Policy (NUP) is a document that sets forth the planned actions of the governmental administration in the area of urban policy, considering the objectives and the directions specified in the mid-term national development strategy and the national strategy of regional development. The Policy is aimed at purposeful, territory-oriented action of the state for sustainable development of cities and their functional areas as well as for using their potential in the development processes of the entire country.
