Reports and recommendations to Minister

The Canadian Energy Regulator may submit reports to the Minister recommending measures for control, supervision, conservation, use, marketing and development of energy resources, and for ensuring the safety and security of regulated and abandoned energy facilities.

Reports and recommendations to Minister

81 The Regulator may submit to the Minister reports on the matters referred to in section 80 from time to time and may recommend to the Minister any measures within Parliament’s jurisdiction that the Regulator considers to be necessary or in the public interest for (a) the control, supervision, conservation, use, marketing and development of energy and sources of energy; and (b) the safety and security of regulated facilities and abandoned facilities.
