This regulation implements Environmental Law No. 32, which requires business activities with significant environmental impact to prepare an Analysis of Environmental Impacts (AMDAL) and to obtain an Environmental Permit before beginning business activities.
Ministries or non-ministerial government agencies can develop technical guidelines for the preparation of the impact analyses (Art 7.)
