The Bangladesh National Building Code ( BNBC ) was first published in 1993 to regulate the construction of buildings. The code was updated in 2020. Chapter 4 (Energy Efficiency and Sustainability) seeks to ensure energy efficiency through passive and low energy architectural features and management of resources.
