The National Energy Transition Framework (2022-2070) lays out a framework for decarbonising Ghana's energy sector and reaching net zero emissions by 2070.

In relation to oil and gas, the plan recognises venting, flaring and fugitive emissions as the source of emissions from oil and gas production and identifies the decarbonisation of the oil and gas sector as a mitigation action to reduce emissions in the energy sector.
