To comply with the Strategy of the Energy, Mining and Geology Sectors, the government published the Morocco Mining Plan 2021. The Plan focuses on developing the non-phosphate mining sector through four pillars: (1) development of a network of competitive stakeholders; (2) institutional overhaul of the sector's organisation; (3) strengthening the social impact and the responsible and sustainable nature of the mining sector; and (4) adapting financing, legal, and fiscal resources to the sector's new ambitions.

In the field of geology, following the Strategy, the government published the National Geology Plan 2021-2030. Such Plan which aims to strengthen the Moroccan Geological Survey capacities and to advance the development of the country's mineral potential as part of the work of a National Committee for Strategic Minerals. Some results are the development of a Geoscientific Mapping Program of geological, geophysical and geochemical potential areas, the development of geoinformation sharing platforms and integration of analysis services.

The strategy also sets milestones and targets for the energy sector, including:

Strengthening the share of renewables in the electricity mix to reach 52% in 2030; and

Reducing energy consumption by 20% by 2030.
