IPCEI Hydrogen aims to support the hydrogen ramp-up in Germany and Europe by promoting projects along the entire hydrogen value chain. IPCEI Hydrogen consists of several waves: Hy2Tech, Hy2Use, Hy2Infra, Hy2Move. 70% of the German projects in the IPCEI Hydrogen are co-financed by the federal government (BMWK, BMDV) and 30% by the federal states concerned. The total funding amount is around 13.5 billion euros. The specific funding amount for the respective hydrogen projects is approved by the European Commission on the basis of the funding gap. The Commission has already approved the four IPCEI waves Hy2Tech, Hy2Use, Hy2Infra and Hy2Move as well as several individual KUEBLL projects transferred from the IPCEI Hydrogen
