This funding program, while not exclusively focused on Power-to-X (PtX), includes hydrogen as an eligible technology under its broader decarbonization scope. Across five rounds, total CAPEX funding increased from €15 million in the first two rounds to €40 million in the third and fourth, and €60 million in the fifth round in March 2025. Despite this, no funding has yet been allocated to hydrogen projects. Incentives include grants covering up to 60% of eligible costs, with a maximum of €20 million per project, and up to 5% of the net investment volume (capped at €50,000) for developing a savings concept.
