The Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications launched a new EUR 50 million scheme to provide funding for energy efficiency upgrades for SMEs. The Business Energy Upgrades Scheme (BEUS) provides support for building upgrade measures, such as the installation of heat pumps, automatic controls, insulation and ventilation. The scheme, funded through the Climate Action Fund, aims to provide up to EUR 120 000 for small business to make such upgrades, with the goal of increasing energy efficiency and lowering building running costs and associated emissions.
