The Energy Resource Governance Initiative (ERGI) was founded in 2019 by the governments of Australia, Botswana, Canada, Peru and the United States with the goal of of sourcing and disseminating best practices across the international mining sector. The ERGI Toolkit contains guidance and case studies for a range of key issues in the mining sector, including resource management, project development, production and stewardship. The Toolkit compiles best practices and principles for the following subjects under four overarching governance disciplines:
