Through the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the government earmarked IDR 94,4 billion in its 2023 budget for the development of PV rooftop panels in least-developed regions to accelerate electricity access with clean energy sources.

Another budget allocation of IDR 500,45 billion were also earmarked for the development of Solar-based street lighting (31.075 units).
