Within the EU’s Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for the next 7 years, the Recovery and Resilience Facility will be the largest stimulus package ever financed by the EU.
The RFF is expected to support EU member countries with EUR 723.8 billion invested until 2027. EUR 338 billion will be distributed as grants, EUR 385.8 billion being loans.
Each national recovery and resilience plan have to include at least 37% of the investments towards climate expenditures, and at least 20% towards a digital transition.
The RFF is structured in seven flagships, among them three are related to climate and energy-related sectors:
- Power up (clean technologies and renewables)
- Renovate (EE of buildings)
- Recharge and refuel (sustainable transport and charging infrastructure)
