249 (1) The applicant must cause to be published a notice of the application in the Canada Gazette and any other publications that the Commission considers appropriate. (2) The Commission may waive the requirement to publish the notice if it considers that there is a critical shortage of electricity caused by a terrorist activity, as defined in subsection 83.01(1) of the Criminal Code.
