The guideline sets out the requirements for the submission of a methane Emissions Reduction Plan by businesses with combined potential emissions greater than 50,000 tonnes of CO2e, as required in the 2019 Oil and Gas Emissions Management Regulations. It describes the required contents of an acceptable plan (including the background; emissions forecast; emissions management plans; and emissions reduction information, including limits that pose a barrier to emission reduction).
