Investment grants for measures that maintain the security of electricity supply in the power grid and for measures aimed at meeting increased electricity demand. The investments include bio-CHP plants and gas turbines operating on renewable fuels. They also include electricity or thermal energy storage facilities as well as upgraded capacity in small-scale hydropower plants.

The Swedish Energy Agency support is totalling up to USD 473 million (SEK 5 billion) during 2026.
