Targets include a 7% of its registered ships using green marine fuels by 2030 and 55% of the diesel-fuelled vessels in the government fleet switching to green fuels by 2026. The government estimates that the demand triggered by these targets could be 200 ktpa of green maritime fuels. CO2 emission reduction targets of 11% by 2026 (vs 2019) and 20% by 2030 (vs 2008) and 70% by 2040. Hong Kong will complete its draft Code of Practice for green methanol bunkering by 2026 as part of its multi-fuel strategy. The plan sets out five strategies and 10 actions to develop the supply and infrastructure for green maritime fuels. Actions include to establish a Green Maritime Fuel Bunkering Incentive Scheme and simplify the approval process for green maritime fuel bunkering
