EUR 820 million (USD 889 million) for a funding period of maximum 10 years with the resulting payments to be completed by 2041. EUR 400 million for an auction starting in 2024 (with the option to use the “auction as a service” model) and the rest to be open for bids before 2026. Support could promote the production of 112 ktpa of renewable hydrogen. The Commission approved the scheme in March 2025

Maximum grants of EUR 200 million per project, with support for a total maximum production capacity of 300 MW

In May of 2025, seven projects with a total capacity of 21.5 ktpa took part of the EHB Round 2. One project (17 ktpa) bid for EUR 0.7/kg and the rest bid in the EUR 3.5-4/kg range.
