Key features include the establishment of minimum standards for sectoral permits, the implementation of a digital single window platform (SUPER) for permit processing, and the introduction of proportionality criteria to tailor permit requirements based on project risk levels. Additionally, the system modernises the Environmental Impact Assessment System (SEIA) by reducing evaluation times for projects with Strategic Environmental Assessment (EAE) by 30%, strengthening technical evaluations, and simplifying the appeal process to minimize delays. These reforms are designed to accelerate investment and improve environmental management in Chile.
