State-owned Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) earmarked capital expenditure of 600 billion baht over the next 10 years for power plants and transmission line development nationwide. Until 2028, Egat plans to construct a new power plants and refurbish 11 retired power plants costing a total of 300 billion baht.
The remaining 300 billion baht will go towards upgrading transmission line.
