The Act aims to provide the regulatory framework of upstream, midstream and downstream petroleum activities. Among them, importers and distributors are set to maintain minimum security stocks of oil and petroleum products to ensure reliability of supply. The Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporations shall at all times mantain national reserve of petroleum.
