The SME Smart Lighting Pilot Scheme, launched in 2017, provides funding for SME to adopt new efficient lighting technologies, reducing their lighting bills and benefiting from improved lighting conditions. The scheme is open to all SME's. In 2017, 60 businesses benefited from the financial support. With the new lighting technology, the businesses generated cost savings of €540,000. Building on the learnings from the 2017 pilot scheme, a new updated scheme is now open, where up to €3million in funding from DCCAE is being made available.
