India has funded projects through a call for proposals for electricity system-related grants aimed at R&D, standards, capacity building, and technical assistance, as part of one of Mission Innovation's challenges, with a total funding size of USD 5 million. The goal is to promote affordable and accessible clean energy from off-grid electricity for individuals and communities with no or limited access to grid-connected power. Project teams must include at least one Indian partner and one partner from another Mission Innovation country.
