The regulation sets updated targets and minimum seasonal cooling performance levels for air conditioners, and is split into two gradual phases.

Deadlines for manufacturers and importers to comply with step 1 standards as of December 31st, 2022, and up to December 31st, 2025 for step 2 levels.

Wholesalers and retailers on their end need to comply with step 1 standards as of December 31st, 2024, and up to December 31st, 2027 for step 2 levels.
