The regulation aims at limiting air pollutants steming from thermal power plants.
Standards for coal based power plant's units installed before December 2003 are as follow: SO2: 200-600 mg/nm3 // NOx: 600 mg/nm3 // PM: 100 mg/nm3 // Hg: 0.03 mg/nm3.
Standards for coal based power plant's units installed between January 2004 and December 2016 are as follow: SO2: 200-600 mg/nm3 // NOx: 300 mg/nm3 // PM: 50 mg/nm3 // Hg: 0.03 mg/nm3.
Standards for coal based power plant's units installed from January 2017 onwards are as follow: SO2: 100 mg/nm3 // NOx: 100 mg/nm3 // PM: 30 mg/nm3 // Hg: 0.03 mg/nm3.
