From 2024 to 2027, the Brazilian government is implementing a tariff rate quota (TRQ) exempting solar panel imports from border tariff within the quantitative limits set. Imports above quota limits are subject to a 9.6% import tariff.

Decreasing quantitative limits are set from 2024 to 2027. From 2028 onwards, solar panels imports are expected to be subject to a 9.6% import tariff.
