Through the EV Early Adoption Incentive (EEAI) and Vehicular Emissions (VES) , the the Singaporean government provide incentives to encourage the purchase of lower emission cars. Buyers of new cars also enjoy an Additional Registration Fee (ARF) rebate.

Both schemes were enhanced and extended in 2023, notably to encourage the purchase of electric or plug-in hybrid cars and taxis.
