The Queensland Mineral Resources Act provides for the assessment, development and utilisation of mineral resources to the maximum extent practicable consistent with sound economic and land use management.
Section 6C establishes a definition for improvement restoration of mining tenements as the repair of affected areas by restoration to original condition or replacement with another improvement in good condition.
Division 3 provides for applications of the Act in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act and other state and federal environmental legislation.
