Launched in 2022, the grant was initially intended for companies in the Food Services, Food Manufacturing, and Retail sectors. It was enhanced in 2024 to include more sectors, including Manufacturing, Construction, Maritime, and Data Centres and their users. The enhanced grant also aim to fold in the Energy Efficiency Fund (E2F).

It provides two tiers of support – a base tier to provide support for pre-approved EE equipment up to S$30,000; and an advanced tier up to $350,000 to support companies for larger investments that drive greater energy efficiency.
