In its October's 2022-23 budget, the federal government allocated AUD 62.6 million for small and medium-sized businesses, in order to reduce their energy use and lower energy bills.
Grants ranged between $10,000 and $25,000, and targeted all industry sectors for the implementation of measures such as energy use monitoring, upgrading, or replacing existing air conditioners or gas heating boilers with more efficient technologies (e.g. heat pumps).
